1. Use only Ball lids. |

2. Place lid on top of canning jar. |

3. Put either wide or narrow mouth lid on the jar. |

4. Attach hose and make sure the arrow is pointed to the jar emblem. |

5. The indicator window will turn from red to green when the pump is engaged. |

6. When vacuum has been reached the window will be green. |
|

7. Remove hose and the jar is sealed. |
|

8. To open use a quarter instead of a jar opener. It will prevent bending the lid so it can be used over and over again. |

9. Now you can enjoy fresh potato chips and within seconds seal the jar again so you have fresh chips for a long, long time. |
