Gus’s Favorite Treat
1 cup Gobbles (Buy Now...)
1 cup chicken broth
½ cup cooked rice
¼ cup carrots, shredded
2 tablespoons oil
2 tablespoons corn meal
1 teaspoon dried mint, crushed
In a bowl, combine turkey and chicken broth, stir and rehydrate 3 hours. Add remaining ingredients. Put in a blender and grind, add more broth if necessary.
With a teaspoon, scoop on oiled leather sheets, flatten and dry at 155 degrees until hard. To use the oven, dry at a temperature no higher than 200-degrees. Lay the flat treats on a cookie sheet. Half way through the drying process, turn the treats over so the bottom can dry. Oven drying takes approximately 2 hours and a dehydrator takes about 6 hours.
